I can access My Book Live from local pc’s on the office net, but on WD2Go, after logging in, the My Book Live drive shows as “offline”
On the UI it shows as connected and as said, I can access it from other office pc’s via its i.p on the net.
Please advise… TNX!!
Hi,
Welcome to the wd community.
Make sure that the remote access option is enable and try resetting the unit and test that again.
Thanks ERmorel,
Naturally that was my first thought too… did not work…
I am having this same problem. I called WD to try to get some help after trying several things and basically got told that my drive may no longer be compatible with their website since it’s a few years old. So, if this is true, I now have a drive that I bought specifically so that I could access it remotely, that I can no longer access because WD decided not to support it with their latest website update. Nice way to let down your customers.
I can’t seem to get access to MBL from outside of my LAN. No access at all from outside my firewall. I have “Remote Access” turned on and it said “connected” with the setting as Automatic, but I have now tried manual and changed port 80 to 8181 and added port forwarding to the MLB local static IP in the port forwarding rules, but still doesn’t allow access from mycloud.com or from the MyCloud Android app. I do have my mycloud.com account email added to the Web Access section of the Remote Access tab in the MLB dashboard. I called WD support this morning and they tried for 45 minutes various things. They took my phone number down and scheduled a callback from second level support. I will post back if I get any resolution to this issue. BTW I am on the latest firmware 2.43.10.
