Is there an easy way to transfer all contents from my OS3 MyCloud to my new OS5 MyCloud Home? I am having such a difficult time trying to copy files!
Do you have a My Cloud or a My Cloud Home? They are not the same device. The My Cloud Home uses a different operating system (not OS5) and has different features and options than a My Cloud has.
Generally the normal method of moving files between My Cloud devices is to either drag and drop between them from a computer connected to the local network using Ethernet (wired). Using WiFi tends to slow the down the connection speed. Or if one has enabled SSH on both devices it may be possible to issue Linux commands via SSH (rsync for example) to copy files from one My Cloud to another. Or one can use a USB hard drive attached to one My Cloud, copy files to it, then move that USB hard drive to the new My Cloud (if it has a USB port) and copy the files off the USB hard drive and onto the new My Cloud. It may also be possible to use the Safepoint or Backup feature of the My Cloud Dashboard to copy the entire My Cloud contents to another My Cloud.

What are your plans for the old My Cloud OS3? Mine is still connected to my Router and used on my Home network. I haven’t moved anything. I do have a 2nd generation WD My Cloud (OS5) that has the same data on it.
An actual My Cloud Home does not have OS5!
