When I open files in File Manager (Windows 7) only a few thumbnail photos will load. Usually the ones I already opened in the past show. The rest show a default icon. Even if I try a smaller size it doesn’t load. What can I do? This is unnaceptable because it’s impossible to find a photo I need without looking at it.
Not sure I understand your question. The MBL has nothing to do with the creation of thumbnails. Windows 7 creates its own thumbs. If SOME thumbs are working, that means the MBL is working, because all thumbnails are stored in a single hidden thumbs.db file created by windows.
It does the same thing on my Vista machine too. It doesn’t happen if it’s a drive on the hard drive. It only happens on the MyBookLive drive. That’s why I think it has something to do with MBL. See the screen shot.
Antivirus software can interfere with this. As a test, turn off your AV software and try it again. As TonyPh12345 mentioned, we don’t have any bearing on Windows explorer showing thumbnails.
