System stuck at boot after ram Upgrade (Blue light just keeps blinking)

I have a PR4100, I ordered as it says here a:

  • 8GB Kingston SO-DIMM KVR16LS11/8

I followed up the manual instructions:
Appendix F: Replacing the SO-DIMM Memory Module and removed 1 of the 2 RAM DIMM and replaced it with my 8GB kingston one, but…

When I try to turn on back the PR4100:
It will start turning on, the fan will start as normal but will never stop, the blue light keeps blinking and it never actually boots.

It will simply not work.

Why is this?

The RAM module could be defective. Have you been able to test if other computer systems present similar issues with the same module?

DanielGar,

With the PR4100 you need to order two of the same memory module’s and replace both of the stock memory dimm’s in the PR4100 with the new memory. They can not be different or the system will not boot up.
