what brand and type of RAM memory I should use to upgrade the PR4100

I upgraded my PR4100’s RAM with CT2KIT102464BF160B (16GB total) back in the beginning of 2019.

barely have any memory usage at all compared to the stock memory, even with intensive operations.

Is there any re-configuration of OS required for using of upgraded RAM for more effective file caching?

Could someone provide a link to the Crucial Brand 16mb (2x8mb) upgrade for the WD PR4100 NAS? I’ve been searching for two hours and I can’t find one that has the right product code with the right ratings and markings.

I’m told I need the DDR3L version but when you see the product pictures on just about any store, they all show a DDR3 picture.

I just need a link to the correct ones for the WD PR4100.

Finally upgraded my memory to 16GB using Crucial memory. I am a heavy Plex user and notice the lag time loading videos has improved. Hopefully by now you have got the right product number.
