Synchronizing 2 computers with my cloud mirror

Hi,

as I don’t get answers in the german area (ok, I am a little bit impatiently) I try to explain my problem here. I bought a my cloud mirror and get confused more and more I try to get everything work.
In my network I have several computers and one my cloud mirror. The idea is to synchronize two computers through the my cloud mirror, to have a backup on the my cloud mirror and have the possibility to get the files from outside the net with an app. All other computers in the net should not be able to see the files on my cloud mirror.
The idea is to have some files on both computers (1 is a desktop, the second a laptop I take with me). These files should be in my cloud mirror as backup and for the same time on both computers. If a file is changed or created on one computer it should be copied automatically to my cloud mirror and onto the second computer.
Is that possible? How must I do that? Should I use WD Smartware Pro or WD Sync?

I had a look at the description of WD Smartware Pro, at the forum and now I am confused more and more and don’t know how to go on.

Thanks for help,
Akkarin

Looking at the documentation for WDSynch , it seems to be your best bet , it looks like it looks for updated files on your PC , uploads the changed files to your mirror , then your laptop will see new files on the mirror and copy them to your laptop and visa-versa.

As well as having the option to log in from outside your own LAN using with a My Cloud remote access account.

Thank you for your answer. Meanwhile I also got an answer in the german area and a guy told me about the freeware “Allway Sync” which allows much more filtering and other settings. I will test that this evening.

To get all the features you have to buy Allway Synch Pro, the main issue with the Freeware version is a limited number of file moves in 30 days.
