I’ve had a WD TV Live Plus HD for a while now, and not had many issues till now. I did the latest firmware update (1.06.16_B) last night, and afterwards was not able to connect to my wireless network like I usually do, and so I tried to reset all the saved settings and manually re-enter in the SSID and password type. Still not connecting. It will show the name of my network for a few seconds on the network set-up screen for a few seconds, but then it will disappear for another few seconds. Also the wireless signal strength is showing at full or one less than full. I was able to get it to connect to a neighbors unsecured wireless, just as a test.
I assume its something wonky with the newest firmware, so I roll back to the previous version. SAME ISSUE.
Now I am rather confused. I tried swapping the USB ports the wireless adaptor is plugged into, and still nothing. I could really use some guidance here, because I’m no expert at networking. I only know the basics. Thanks
I am having the exact same problems with my Live Plus. I’ve tried with a D-Link DWA-130 and an Asus USB-N13, both of which worked fine on this Live Plus (and they are both on the list of supported devices). It was working after updating the firmware a few nights ago. But today, after restarting the Live Plus for the first time since, I can’t get it to connect to my wifi network.

I had something similar happen. I already posted this in the firmware thread, but it seems appropriate to repeat it here.
I have a Linksys/Cisco WUSB600N v2 wireless USB adapter. After I upgraded to 1.06.16 my wireless adapter did not connect. I had to go into the setup and re-enter my wireless key. I selected for it to connect Automatically. It did connect, but when I turned my Live Plus off and on, it went back to not connecting again. I started the wireless setup again and re-entered my wireless key, then I went to Wireless Favorites and noticed that even though there was only one entry here (the wireless connection that I just made) nothing was selected as the default. I highlighted the wireless connection that I just made, and selected it as the default. A dot appeared next to the wireless connection in the Wireless Favorites list. After that, the WUSB600N v2 worked fine.
For me, the key to getting my wireless adapter working again was to set the WUSB600N v2 as the Default adapter. Hopefully, that will work for you too.

This is why I can’t connect at all. My router is a Cisco/Linksys E3000, which I have rebooted. My Live Plus is the only device that cannot connect to it now.
Try connecting the WDTV directly to the PC with an Ethernet cable. NO routers or switches in the way. Then when you get it working go wireless if you want. Sounds like a wifi issue.
