Strange characters on screen when accessing WD My Cloud from Mac

When accessing My Cloud from Mac (Applications/WD My Cloud/WD My Cloud.app), all i get on the screen is now only one character repeated in all names / words. Any clue how to overcome this? WD My Cloud app shows version … 0.0.0

Looks like you are missing a font resource. Arial, I think, is what is used.

seems this app is no longer working, as after removing and downloading a clean copy, it does not allow to be installed (i.e. nothing happens)
