Spare drive for a Mybook PRO 16TB

I want to get a spare hard drive to interchange on my " Mybook PRO " to keep offsite.

1 ) Can I do this , just replace the 2nd drive ,( There are 2 x 8TB drives in the my book PRO set up in RAID1 ) it should automatically copy from drive 1to the new drive inserted , remove it once done ,take offsite. reinstall drive 2. I believe this will work.

What is the exact drive I use to go into the MYbook PRO ? I searched BLACK drives on the WD site. Nothing I see is 8TB ???

Unfortunately, I don’t have the information about the drive that is on your unit as this might be different depending on the manufacturing date.

You can take one of the drives out to check the model number and get the same unit.
