Some Windows find MBLD, some don't... Windows cannot access \\MYBOOKLIVEDUO

Some of my systems (e.g… Win 7 with Norton 360) do not connect to \MyBookLiveDuo\Public. Most of my systems WinXP, Win 7, Win 8 do connect.  The drive does appear in the network portion of Windows explorer, but gets the message Windows cannot access \MYBOOKLIVEDUO\Public. I have tried setting a static IP, but limited success. I have been able to access the folders in explorer, but when I try to map the drive, it substitutes the \MYBOOKLIVEDUO for the IP and fails again. Other systems seem happy. I tried with Firewall off, but no joy.

This seems like a failure at a higher level of communications than the network connection.

Thanks, C

Hi, try disabling any firewalls that you may have active. Also try using the WD Link tool to map the My Book. Click on the link below for more information.
