I recently noticed that MyCloud device had a yellow solid light instead of the normal blue light on. I can’t connect to it and it need to access the data.
I’ve tried to reset it both ways (3secs and 40secs) but no luck.
The network light in the back blinks green when I tried different cables and different router ports. No luck again
Has anything changed on the local network? Like changing broadband providers or changing routers?
Certain routers have a known issue with the My Cloud that is solved by putting a switch between the My Cloud and the router. See the following WD Knowledgebase article for more information on that particular issue.
If that is really true, then you will not be able to access your device locally. You must have a router to create a local network, that will allow devices to connect to your mycloud.
What is the model number of the device you are calling the cable modem? How many Ethernet ports does it have?
Frankly, I suspect you have a modem/router. If you only had a modem, and connected the MyCloud to it, you would not have been able to configure it, or ever access it locally.
It is a modem Router from my provider (Rogers). There are 3 ethernet ports to which i had it attached to. I recently changed to a newer version to upgrade our download speeds.
