Why are transfer speeds of files into the Public folder on My Cloud Home so slow? If I transfer files into any other folder I get speeds of 80 Mbps. But any file I transfer into the Public folder (so that it can be viewed on my SMB network) is very slow - between 13 Mbps to 30 Mbps, varying greatly during the transfer of large files. I’ve found responses on here about network setup and transfer speeds but the transfer speed on My Cloud Home is fine, as long as it isn’t into the Public folder. So I don’t believe it’s not a network issue.

That article doesn’t explain why the data speed is fine when transferring to folders other than the “Public” folder. So your response hasn’t helped because it’s not my network that’s the problem. I get good data speeds into My Cloud Home unless the transfer is into the “Public” folder.
