Is there any way for someone with the link to a shared folder to download the entire folder or multiple folders at once? The way I see it they can only download a single file at once.
It seems download is only available at the file level. this would be a good suggestion for the My Cloud Home Ideas board.
i have the same problem, we need an elevation to the dev team
There is no need to revive a thread from 6 years ago. WD under new management is determined to deprecate features such as removed WD Discovery from the desktop at this point rather than elevating any features for development in a MCH device that is 6 years old. This topic has been extensively discussed and suggested in the MCH (My Cloud Home) ideas (suggestion and enhancement) subforum:
Why was the Discovery application discontinued for home cloud? Users deserve to know the real reason. The WD team has handled this very poorly. Initially, everything worked well, but now the product has become almost useless without the Discovery application. I now have this device sitting on my desk like garbage because an important part of its Discovery application functionality is gone. WD, please stop misleading customers. You are not delivering a good product, and many users feel cheated. At the time of release, many features and promises were highlighted, but over time useful functions have been slowly removed instead of improved. This creates disappointment and loss of trust among customers. Please add an option that allows users to choose the download folder path, since this important feature is currently missing. WD often says that it is continuously improving the system, yet one of the most practical and user-friendly options has still not been added. Instead, effort is being spent on features that are far less necessary like Discovery Application. WD has already removed useful functionality in the past, which is one reason why many customers are losing interest in purchasing its products. Although WD explains this decision by citing security reasons, it appears that the company is unwilling to give users the flexibility they actually need….
