Share Link Failures - PUBLIC PROBLEM - SEE OTHER LINKS - STILL NOT FIXED - You MUST test and report to WD quickly

As of today I am experiencing the following issues, with two different MyCloud Home devices.

  1. If I try to download a Link that is in existence already from a Browser I get
    ‘UNEXPECTED ERROR OCCURRED - PLEASE TRY LATER’

  2. If I log into my Home account, I can download the file.
    However I need to be able to download it from the Link via a Browser.

  3. I can log into my Home Account via the Net.
    If I try to create a share link from there I get this message:-
    ‘SERVER ERROR PLEASE TRY LATER’

  4. If I try to create a Share Link from the drive itself, the usual Window opens (but with everything inaccessible, then after about 30 seconds I get a pop up window, bottom right of the screen saying:-

‘THERE WAS AN ISSUE CREATING THE LINK … CHECK YOUR CONNECTION’

I have done all that can be done here. Re-booting the Drives. Re-booting the Router / Modem etc.

The status of the WD Home server is shown as ‘UP’

Is anyone else experiencing this PLEASE???

I have been onto Customer Support for sometime. Nice Guy,but convinced it must be User error / both my drives failing at once. He finally agreed to escalate it to a ‘Techie’. Seemed unpeturbed by the fact you were also had similar issues. This is almost certainly an issue with the WD Servers, but looks like they do not want to believe that. You really should report it to WD yourself as soon as you can.

They are unlikely to look too deeply unless others report this too.
