Setup fine, but it's asking for a network password

The setup was easy. All of my users are set and the sharing is done. I see the hard drive and the shares on my network, but I can’t access any of the shared areas. My system is asking for a network password.

I have tried all of the passwords I have and I even changed the system passwords and tried again. Not sure what password its asking for. Has anyone else had this issue?

I’ve just been through a new MyCloud setup after swapping to larger capacity hard disks and I encountered the same problem. If I set a password for any Share folder I could not open it from Windows 7. In the end, I set al my shares to Public and that allowed me to continue with restoring my saved backup from the previous hard disks. But if I needed to protect my Share folders I don’t know how to do it.
