When I turn on my HDTV it show up pink and I lose sound.
Why is this happening and how can I fix this?

We do not make TV’s.
I meant I have your WD box, not the TV.
The last week or so it’s been turning on pink and I’ve lost sound when I play YouTube or movies from my hard drive.
Have you tried with a different HDMI cable?
It’s the same cable I’ve been using for a year.
It’s possible the cable went bad or was damaged - actually the most likely case. If the issue persists with a different cable, than the issue is most likely the port on the back of the device (assuming other devices don’t have the same problem) and it (the entire WDTV) should be replaced.
I’ll check the cable. I’ve only had this WD for about 2 years, is it still under warranty is it’s the box that’s bad?
If I recall correctly (We haven’t made them in a number of years now) they came with 1 year warranties. You can check your warranty information by entering your serial number at the link below:
