multiple problems… I will list some details and problems but i am at a loss on how to fix . It would really be nice if I could just copy all the shares manually and just let the mycloud update as needed so I dont have to babysit it 24/7. I contacted supprt and they had me reset the device and sadly wished they had mention to save my config I had to reconfigure the mycloud. Im going to list some of the problems and my config and just hope someone has a clue.
1 .it loses contact with the pc share that holds the safe point untill a reboot has been performed
2.it sends an email and pops error box saying the safepoint has failed but when you click update it says it is currently running and i verfied it is running still
3.I have about 3 terabytes of data and have been trying to update the safe point for 7 days.
4.safe point profile is blank when it should show ip and folder location (any browser)
5.Cant see safe point so i cant even update it now

my cloud 4 tb with latest firmware saving to a 4 tb drive on my pc
Firewall is off virus scanner doesnt even look at the 4 tb drive network speed is a 1000mb
nothing is allowed to sleep or powerdown
i could list more issues but thats the bulk of them if you need more info just let me know. any help would be greatly appreciated
is the 4TB drive on the PC internal? or USB? if USB try it directly on the mycloud
is there over 3TB free on the drive?
what FW version?
its an internal 4 tb drive on the pc.
firmware on the mycloud is v04.00.01-623
the only thing on the 4tb internal pc drive is the mycloud backup should have atleast 1 tb free after its all said and done
funny thing now is the mycloud doesnt even see the safepoint no matter if i reboot the pc or the mycloud. i can browse to the share with out a problem but it doesnt see it on its own.
I forgot to mention that the mycloud accoutn has full rights/access to the pc share
long shot but do you have a static IP set on the mycloud? If not try setting one outside the routers DHCP pool
there has been a lot of disconnect issues with DHCP although I don’t recall anyone reporting during an operation
interesting idea on the static ip.
I have my network set so the router always assigns the same ip makes it easier for me to keep track of things. SO the mycloud is set to dhcp BUT it will always get the same ip
I assume if i copy the files manually it would just screw the Mycloud database up that it uses to track what needs to be updated
I have a simular issue.
I cant see safe points. it just keeps searching for them.

It is even backing up correctly, but I cant see safepoints to manage them ???
I really feel like if I could get one good backup that it would update just fine I just cant seem to get the one backup
thought i would provide an update since it seems to be creating a safepoint now
I reset the device with the reset button and done a system only restore. all went very badly such as slow loading timeing out importing the config ect…
That being said once i reconfigured and got the safepoint restarted I have had one popup box claiming an error i just clicked update and let it go. the dashboard currently shows no updating going on what so ever. no swirly circle and its been on the same file for 24hours BUT it is copying files. I am now wondering if i just thought it was stalled before. its really hard to keep track if its working or not since it doesnt show that it is working. guess we will let it roll and see what happens
