Replace hard drive with bigger hard drive in MBL 3TB

Hello all,

I have an MyBook Live NAS 3TB model that still works fine after almost 10 years. I was wondering if it was possible to replace the hard drive with a bigger one. I found an article in this forum that explains how to replace the hard drive with a 1TB, 2TB or 3TB drive but before investing in a new hard drive wanted to know if anyone has tried this.

Thanks for any help anyone could provide.

Chris

This guy said he did it with a 4TB HERE

I tried it about a year ago with a 4tb Red drive I had no success BUT I’m not sure I did things correctly. So I dropped the idea and just used a 3TB red and that worked. So I bought another diskless NAS and 4tb drive and put that online too.
