Hello,
there used to be a button on wd2go.com with which you could open your MyCloud on Explorer even if it is on another Network.
Where is this option now? Can I remotely open my MyCloud in Finder?
Thank you for your answers!
If you are referring to the MyCloud desktop app for Mac, that has been retired. You can access the files remotely by going to www.mycloud.com The WD2Go has been retired for a very long time.
I’m referring to this tutorial: Fehler , Step 9.
Isn’t there any way to open a remote MyCloud in Finder? I planned on moving some files between my local drives and the MyCloud and it would be very hard without the Finder
Remote mapping was withdrawn about 18 months ago with the introduction of ‘OS3’. That support document is obsolete, but WD have obviously failed to update their documentation. Note the black look of the Dashboard, compared to the white look introduced with OS3.
WD saw fit to remove the remote mapping featue when they release the OS 3 firmware over a year ago. They have NO plans to bring it back:

Officially no you cannot remotely access the My Cloud using the Finder. Unofficially it may be possible depending on what generation (1st or 2nd) your My Cloud is. Currently there is an unofficial hack using SSH and installing a module a user here created that will enable remote mapping of the My Cloud. However this hack currently only works on the 1st gen v4.x version single bay My Cloud units. And this hack IS NOT supported in any way by WD. See the following thread for more information:
