I have a WD my cloud mirror and it works when it does then every so often I get this “remote access disabled” error message and I have no idea what’s causing it or how to fix it and WD is useless on helping me fix it. I have remote access set up and it works fine so I’m not sure why I’m getting this message. Rebooting the HD solves this issue I believe, every time I reboot it seems to work for a little then this happens again, not sure why I always have to reboot, like almost every few days. Anyone have any idea what’s causing this and how to fix it? Thanks.
Sorry I just now saw another thread with the same issue a few below mine, going to see if that fixes this issue.
Welcome to the community Meltz,
Have you tried setting up your unit with a static IP?
Please see page 81 of the user manual.

Please check if either your nas local ip and/or your ISP ip changed when you lose the remote access?
If its your ISP ip that changed and if you’re interested, pm me. I have a script to test if this is the issue and maybe a temp fix to it. Currently its not being shared in this forum as I have yet to confirm its 100% related to ISP ip change issue.
Thanks guys for the recommendations. I’m guessing it was WD’s issue on their end (not sure how they are connected to my HD) but after about an hr I tried it again since I wasn’t home to immediately reset the drive and it actually worked again by itself, glad for that. I can pretty much rule out any of my settings as it works again and fixed itself. My guess is that it would be either WD or my internet at my house which could have went down then back up.
