"Recovery Stopped by the User"

Hi,

I have been using Western Digital My Passport Ultra for backing up my work files. Sometime ago the recovery software has been changed to Acronis True Image for Western Digital. The backing up process has been going for years without a complain. However, when I tried to recover some files to a different location to test the recovery process, returned “Recovery Stopped by the User” message and did nothing. I tried creating a fresh backup and tried again. Same outcome. Has my backup become “write only”?
