Question about My Cloud EX device

I am looking to get a My Cloud EX2 Ultra NAS. I had purchased a My Cloud Home device, but it does not stay online so I wanted to check on this before purchasing another My Cloud

Can it be set up for local access through mapping a network drive versus having to use the WD Discovery app to network it?

Can it be accessed remotely through an app on the phone or the PC?

Does it have to be online for access locally? Is it like the My Cloud Home, where it has to be online to get access to the files in it or can it still be accessed locally when the device cannot connect online for whatever reason?

Ich benutze auf meinem Tablet bzw. iPhone und iPad die Filebrowser APP Business. Cloud Zugriff ist deaktiviert.Im Einsatz My Cloud EX2 Ultra.SMB auf Auto stellen.
Vielleicht ist das eine Alternative zu My Cloud App.
