Having what I’m hoping is a simple issue.
I’d like to be able to use the my cloud app to browse Contents of my wd ex2 ultra but only want local only access. I don’t like the fact that anyone can see all my content over the Web with a password.
Is there a way to disable the Internet access but retain my cloud app to work locally? Or have 2FA for login?

Yeah i’m sensing that. I already have VPN to home network. Do you have any recommended apps that would let me browse the NAS and have a similar experience of seeing thumbnails etc? presumably it’d be some form of NFS / SAMBA client?

VPN puts your computer on your home network. (except on a different subnet, usually)
I generally use file explorer and all my normal tools.
I’m thinking more from perspective of android / IOS devices. I guess I could map the folder in f-stop on android. just need something for ios.
