Problems accessing 1 of my 3 MyCloud drives at home

Hello,

I have 3 WD mycloud drives in my home and all are working but one is problematic to access.

The problem seems to be that I have forgotten the Admin code for my own profile and my “Chris” partition area.

I can access the public area, my wife can access hers but I cannot access mine and cannot find a pasword reset.

Will holding down the reset button for 4 seconds let me reset the admin password? If so will I lose Data.

I am at a bit of a loss and I have tried several times to get WD support but everytime I try to set up a support request I get a “This is not working right now” message which is really frustrating.

This has been happening for a while but all of the different webpages that direct you from one location and design style to another seems a little fractured to me. I have usually tried to get an answer for a while and then given up.

Can anyone help?

I am using WD MyClouds of 2Tb and 3TB in size over a homeplug based network with TP link homeplugs.

Both 4 sec and 40 sec resets are non-destructive - your data is not touched. 4 sec resets admin password only.

It just resets the admin password - it shouldn’t change any of the users, so, yes, all access should return.
