I have been using a single drive WD mycloud device for a few years and recently upgraded it to OS5. Since the upgrade I have no problem accessing the NAS using devices on my LAN.
I can not access it using either the web app or the Android app on my phone. In both cases the apps dont seem to be able to find the system on the internet.
The dashboard utilities say there is internet access and all diagnostic tests pass.
I also tried installing Emby and Twonky and, in both cases the apps failed to install and gave reasons related to a lack of internet connectivity.
WD support has not been much help. Different people keep responding to my messages asking the same questions over and over again. Its almost like Im getting robotic responses based on key words in my messages.
Have you updated to the OS5 app on your Android device? The OS3 app won’t access the OS5 My Cloud. Same goes for using MyCloud.com. Make sure to access the OS5 portal and not the OS3 portal. What is the status of Cloud Access in the My cloud Dashboard? Does it indicate a connection? Have you created a Cloud Account for the My Cloud admin account?
as far as my problem was similar to yours, I fixed it this way :
I cancelled the old users (OS3)
Once cancelled, the name is still in the left pane and I invited for new user with the same name but a different email address

That seems to be close to the same boat I am in, except I am on MacOS Big Sur. Can’t access the device on my network. It stays on for less than 5 minutes and then times out. I just want my data back.
