Still having trouble connecting from my Android Phone

As per title, I cannot access my “MyCloud” from my Andorid mobile phone.
I have a couple of questions.
Can I upgrade to the newer OS5 considering my drive is the older type (see pic).
How do I access MyCLoud drives dashboard to actually upgrade it ?

What is the specific issue with the android phone? Are you attempting to connect to a local network My Cloud or a remote network My Cloud?

Have you checked the My Cloud Dashboard > Settings to see what it indicates for a Cloud Access/Remote Access connection status? Have you turn off Cloud Access/Remote Access, waited a few minutes, then reenabled the setting in the My Cloud Dashboard > Settings?

Have one or more users been granted Cloud Access/Remote Access? Has one tried using the mobile code that can be generated to allow Cloud Access/Remote Access using the My Cloud OS3 Mobile App?

Only the second gen v2.x firmware single bay My Cloud model can be updated to OS5. The older first gen v4.x firmware single bay My Cloud cannot be updated to the v2.x firmware and it cannot be updated to OS5.

Before anyone updates to OS5 they really should take time to read through the OS5 subforum to see the many issues and complaints users are having with that update. In particular the indexing is causing a lot of issues. The second gen single bay My Cloud seems to fair the worst with it locking up for days and being unresponsive while the indexing occures. Based on the number of complains some have gone back to OS3 firmware even though WD claims one cannot roll back to the earlier firmware.

One should figure out why they cannot connect to the OS3 My Cloud using the OS3 Android app first before introducing the issues OS5 tends to introduce.
