Plex with Apple TV

Hi

Looking to run the my passport wireless pro as my Plex media server.
As it has its own wireless network do I need to change my Apple TV wireless connection to the WD?

This would be jolly inconvienient as my Apple TV is connected to my router via cat5.
Can I like k the WD not the same network so that its seamless?

Hello,

If you connect the My Passport Wireless to your local network, you should be able to use it as a Plex media server without having to disconnect the Apple TV from the local network.

You’re right. It worked!!!
Not sure what I was doing but it all works now.

I can see Plex on the Apple TV and it connects wonderfully.
