Permissions issue

Hi guys and gals,

I’ve been trying to solve this problem and searched the forumm but without avail so here goes:

For some reason the folder permission(s) on my My Cloud for the location where I save all my pictures has the followwing issue: when I try to copy files from my laptop to this folder it says that I need permissions to do this and when I click on ‘properties’ for this folder, it shows ‘read only’. I am a bit surprised since first, I never changed the permissions in any way and second, a reset of the My Cloud doesn’t affect this problem in any way. If I look at shares and at ‘share access’ at the bottom, all options are greyed out, even if the account is set to use a password. Basically no matter what I try, it doesn’t seem to affect the issue. Is the only option really to copy the 800 Gb of pictures to a backup drive and completely reset the My Cloud (including a format) or is there an other solution?

Running Win 10 but the issue occured under Win 8.1 too

Any ideas as to how to solve this without a factoy wipe and reset?
