Cannot save files, but can read without problem

Hi all,

I have a 4TB My cloud and windows 10 on laptops. I have first connected directly the laptop and the WD cloud through an ethernet cable, and upload data.

Now, the cloud is connected to the router. I can read the data, but I can’t upload anything on the “public” folder, neither through explorer or the web interface. I get an error message saying that I need an authorization to upload the data.

Any idea what I could do to fix this?

Have you looked at, or modified the access permissions using the MyCloud Dashboard?

thanks. Yes i looked at, but didn’t modify anything. Everything seems fine. Yet I can’t access. I have tried with a 2nd laptop (also on Windows 10), and same problem. I can read, but can’t write.
