Hi.
This issue is bothering me, as sometimes I like to shutdown my pc with a delayed shutdown command.
The shutdown process seems to go fine, just until the power down point.
It seems that the wd my book doesn’t realize it has to shutdown, and PC finds something still requiring AC plugged to a usb port, and keeps waiting forever.
To complete the shutdown I have to unplug the usb. Immediately the pc powers off, and I reconnect the WD, whose capacity bar lights but the wd keeps silent.
I could also press the pc button 3 secs and it shuts down, but in this case the WD keeps making some noise, as if it were still working.
I’ve tried different usb ports (front, rear up, rear down), but all of them work the same, as they still send current even after pc is powered down (i.e. I can charge my mobile phone with computer shut down).
Also, the issue doesn’t happen always, let’s say 8 in 10 times more or less.
