Well, I’ve had this external for about 8-10 months now, and I’ve never had a problem. But the other day, I was on my computer, and then suddenly my computer just powered off, as if someone hit the switch on the power supply. I spent hours trying to turn on my pc, and it would get to the login screen and just power off again.
So sooner or later, I got the idea to unplug the USB port on the external, powered on the pc, and it worked. The second I plugged in the external, my computer powers off.
Anyone have any idea what it might be? When I plug it into my laptop it works just fine, but when I plug it into my desktop it just powers my computer off. It has 800GB of data on it so I’d rather be able to find a solution without having to format or something. Help would be greatly appreciated.
