Hi, I have a WDBAAF0010HBK-01 MyBook 1TB external hard drive which has been disconnected from a computer and in a storage box for about 12 months.
Today, I took it out and connected it to my computer and it does not power up, and the computer (Windows 7 - 64 bit) is not aware of it’s presence in My Computer.
If I hold the power switch in on the rear of the drive I get a brief flicker of the Power/Activity LED light but that’s it.
Can someone please assist with what’s happening?
