I setup my Users in the Setup and when I try to access the drive through Finder on my MacBook, it only connects as Guest and not my username. I click Connect As and input my username and get an error message. Can anyone figure this out? It seems I can read and write but it doesn’t seem right that I can’t connect under my Username. Thanks for any help.
Start by reading the My Cloud User Manual (http://support.wdc.com/product.aspx?ID=904), and or the My Cloud Dashboard Help. Both explain how to setup Users and Shares and explain how to configure a Share for Private so it will ask you for a User login and password when accessing it from Mac Finder or Windows File Explorer.
