This is a follow up to my previous post (closed). After many factory resets I managed to get my new MyCloud setup using the smart phone app and can access it via MyCloudHome . . . but
On Finder in Mac I click on the MyCloud and all I see it TimeMachineBackup which I do not want. The folder I created in MyCloud Home is not visible in Finder. How it should work is in Finder I click Connect As and enter the user name and password and connect but it doesn’t. But what is the user name I use?
On the old MyCloud I could create a user eg “Richard” give it a password and login with that in Finder.
On the new MyCloud my"User" is an email with a name (first and surname) and password and I can find no combination that allows login. The login box shimmers but no errors.
Adding a new user in MyCloudHome creates a private space for that user but I don’t want that I want to be able to access the entire drive with a login name the same as the one I use to login to my Mac.
Without some additional guidance I’ll attempt to send my MyCloud back to supplier as “useless”
Please can someone suggest a solution
Thanks
