Thumbnails do not show up nor do photos appear when selected. I’ve tried three different operating systems, multiple PCs, browsers and even phones.
Tech support has tried for two weeks and cannot figure it out. Is this device a candidate for the boneyard?

This is using file explorer or the WD MyCloud application ? Also would like to know what types of picture files you are trying to see the thumbnails with.

Windows file explorer works just perfectly. The issue is when I’m trying to view my files remotely via the web access files.mycloud.com webpage by WD. I only have .JPG files on the drive.
Have you disabled the thumbnailing and indexing services (login via SSH and stop the services). If you haven’t got a clue what I’m talking about, then, no, you haven’t…
You could try triggering a re-scan of the contents (not the DLNA database).
