Until recently, I have happily used FileBot to move large video files from my PC to my PR4100. Now, for some reason, it’ll act as though it’s moving, then at the very end say there is “not enough room” to move my file, and then cancel the process. Can anyone explain why it’s doing that? I’ve read a few times about a 5 GB file transfer limit - but I’ve been moving much larger files for ages now, some as large as 40-50 GB, and it’s never been a problem.
I tried looking for help with the WD Support Chat, but it didn’t help. Any help would be much appreciated.
The issue might be related to the file system on your PR4100. If it’s using FAT32 or ExFAT, those file systems can’t handle files larger than 4GB, so you may need to reformat the drive to NTFS or ext4. It could also be a network or permission issue, so try transferring the file through a direct connection or check the folder permissions. Additionally, ensure both FileBot and the PR4100 firmware are up to date, as bugs in either could cause this error. Lastly, try transferring the file manually with another method to rule out any settings or issues with FileBot itself.
