Just bought unit connected HDMI cable video great no audio. Another guy had same problem he returned unit and now ok. Is there something I should try first.
One possibility is that encoded digital audio is being passed directly to your TV in a format it does not understand.
If this is the case, and you do not have access to a receiver that does understand the digital audio, try changing your WD Live’s audio setting to Stereo and the sound should work.
I returned the unit and bought a Asus instead. Solved the problem.
