just bought this player today… WD tv HD ist gen… When connecting through HMDI it no audio…But video is perfect… Any problem? Even mp3 file no audio… Can some body help me out…thank you very much…
Try connecting composite and see if the sound works at all.
Then try different HDMI cables and see if that does the trick.

your tv does not support digital audio encoding. In the menu set audio output to stereo (digital should be set if you connect via optical cable or thru amplifier). This should solve the problem, solved mine…
