Hello, Ive bought a new WD My Cloud Home 4TB today but it isn
t working. It powers on, the network lights are on and flashing, I hear HD activity, but my white light just keeps flashing slowly and I don`t have any access to the device. I already did all types of resets, but nothing changes. The device has a valid ip address and I can see the devices name in my router settings. Is the device dead or could it be a as simple as a port forwarding issue? Thanks for any help.

This issue is posted every week and if you are willing to scroll down and browse a little in the forum or use the search function, you will see possible solutions, or maybe not. It really depends on how patient a new owner should be about a 6 year old hardware even though he may have bought it new recently.

The biggest problem is that I don’t know if the device is doing anything. Since I didn’t have any connection with the device since its first boot. The only connection is when I connect to its ip address and then I get : {“key”:“notFound”,“message”:“Not Found”}
Years ago I had the first model Mybook and that was far from perfect,but at least it was more transparent in use.
