New firmware - has it resolved slow speeds

As the title suggests, I see that WD have offered another firmware update that should resolve the slow transfer speeds.

Before I update, can anyone confirm that this has actually worked, and that the slow transfer speeds are now a thing of the past ?

it seems noticably better then the prior versions and handles the load of the background services much better

Thanks - I’ll bit the bullet and try. 

Just a little put off because of the last firmware really crippled the speeds !

not for me.  Dashboard is really fast now.   But even with a new 230$ linksys E1900 dual bad router upgrade and a 1 year old dell its 2.50mps max and 700kbs it fluxuitates
