NAS PR4100 - Share Folder Can Not Be Accessed when Cloud Access Shows “Retrieving Information”

I have WD NAS PR4100 with firmware 5.24.108, i have disable internet access and cloud access dashboard shows “Disable”, but sometimes the device show a message in Cloud Access tab “Retrieving Information”, if this messages show, my NAS share folder can not be access from local network, but if i do shutdown from button on the device and then i turn on again, the NAS work normal and i can access folder that i have created.

Can anyone help me to solve this issue please ? Thanks.

On this one even I would contact WD support. Could be that you’ve found a firmware bug that WD needs to fix, but before you do that you might need to update the PR4100’s firmware to see if that fixes your issue before contacting WD support.

Report this to WD Support and reference my case (#221222-002125); we seem to be having the same issue; mine just started a few days ago when a new firmware update came out.

All my devices that need to connect to my NAS can’t because the Access Settings were all changed to Web/App only, and I can’t enable FTP or NAS connections because the Access Settings section is grayed out.

I have contact WD Support with Reference #:221222-001844

Step that i have done

  1. Connect the device to internet
  2. Choose “cloud access”, and then choose admin, then login
  3. Choose “share” then disable (turn Off) all Web and Mobil Access for each folder that you’ve already created.
  4. Choose “Cloud Access” then disable cloud access.

Until now, my NAS working properly, i hope there are no more issues.
