help… Went to access mycloud mapped drive & it was n/a. Tried another PC and same thing, cannot access the drive. Tried \wdmycloud from file explorer and nothing. Checked the brick and it is flashing green at the ethernet port so connection is ok. Then i noticed the white light on. TOTO and still the same white light light on. reset the pin hoe for 40 secs and still same. Contacted WD support chat who told me to do everything id tried. They then said the box was faulty and i need to go to a data recovery place. Rang a few and best price was £500. Is there a way to bypass the WD OS and take out the HD & put it into a caddy to connect to my PC ? Any help appreciated on how i can recover my data that wont break the bank. Thks

Based on what you posted, Maybe
You can remove the drive, insert into a USB caddy of some sort and connect to your PC.
You may need some software to be able to mount and read the drive if it it’s the EXT4 format (typical for WD NAS drives).
This software is free. I have used it myself to read Linux formatted drives (not from my EX4). Make sure you get the Windows version.
Of course, you’ll need enough free storage space to copy the files over.
