I have windows 10 on a surface pro 2017 and a 3TB MyCloud (firmware 04.x), and I am unable to ‘see’ the MyCloud on my network (when I login to my WD account, it searches and is unable to find it also). The MyCloud appears under “storage” on the network, which I click to access and gets me into the device setting, but I can’t access the data on the device.
Some of the things I have tried:
- Checked the workgroup
- logged into the router - it sees the device
- checked the IPv4 settings (as per another post)
- Restarted both the device and my windows tablet
- Checked firmware
Clicking the WD Access (system tray)\MDMycloud\open does nothing, but clicking the settings works ok
I have had this issue for a number of months now, and it is exceedingly frustrating. I have spent hours researching and trying to fix it.
I am trying to get the device to appear in the network folder, so I can access the data via ‘folders’ as it once did.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank-you in advance for taking some time to read my call for help and responding.
