Mycloud ex2 drives

Hello

I have 2 questions concerning WD mycloud ex2:

in the mycloud ex2 compatibility sheet, it mentions only WD RED drives and purple drives. However, I have some WD green drives I would like to use in a NAS. Is it not possible in WD Mycloud ex2? Anyone knows why i cannot use these?

second question: in the WD my cloud ex2, should i always use drives of the same size?
