Must i use nas drives on the MY CLOUD PRO SERIES PR2100?

if i buy MY CLOUD PRO SERIES PR2100 the one without hard drives…can i use any drives i want to?
cause i hve 2 green wd drives a 4tb each…feels like overkill to buy new ones when i have ?

Also, WD Green Drives are not recommended to be used with PR2100 device.
