My Cloud stopped seeing My Book

Setup has been working fine for a couple of years, then I lost both drives from my network, I have managed to retrieve the My Cloud but I cannot get the network to see the attached My Book. I have checked the My Book by attaching it directly to my laptop and all seems to be working fine I have also tried WD Discovery which sees the MY Cloud but again not the My Book, anyone know, it did previously, what is going on?
