My Book is offline (Target missing)

WD Backup doesn’t see the 4 TB drive. The message I receive is Unable to back up files to My Book Please make sure your drive is connected and accessible.

I have no virus protection software. I have allowed Windows defender to give access to WD Backup. I have restarted the computer three times after unplugging My Book. So far, no luck.

Any ideas?

Wrong subforum. The My Book is different device than the My Cloud the subject of this subforum.
