Does anyone know if My Cloud OS 3 is coming to the 1st gen My Cloud Mirror? I cannot find this info anywhere!

The WD Press Release about it just says “MyCloud Mirror” without stating which version, so my expectation would be that it would be both of them (or more likely the Gen2 will ship with it pre-installed from the get-go). Given that the Gen1 isn’t that old, and indeed that it’s no less powerful than the other MyCloud series (excluding the Gen2) I’d be amazed if it was excluded from the OS3.
My device just got updated to firmware 2.10.302
New looking UI, but not spotted much else new yet, it’s the same old apps, same old ancient versions of those apps.
There is a worrying startup page that looks like it might have wiped your settings, as it asks create a new account, but it’s actually just (another) request for your details to send you product updates.
Yup, looks similar to me for now too,aside from being somewhat white (a bit of a shock compared to the previous black).
Will look further and see what’s what, but personally I’m very happy as Webdav on USB-connected drives now works again on my MCM (it was knackered before).
Editted to add - Wow, how much faster is file/folder access with Samba beyond the root level compared to before! That is a very nice improvement, well happy with that.
