Dear all,
I purchased this home cloud system to cancel my Google Photos, iCloud drive, google drive etc…It does not work as I want. I would be very glad if you give answers to following questions:
1-I want to use WD My Cloud app on my iPhone as primary Photos app instead of IOS own photos app. But when I go to photos section of application, it shows every jpeg, gif etc… files there. For example, I have iPhone backup file in My Cloud, and photos section of application shows unneccessary gif pictures of messages backup of my iphone. or it shows some other image files of my PC backup. I only wants to see caera library here of my iphone or real photos folder of PC. Is it possible to set a specific path for WD My Cloud photos library? I
2-As I said, I want to use primary photos application. For example I delete a photo from My Cloud photos but after some specific time, It comes there again because deleted photo is still in camera library of iphone. so I have to delete a photo from both places. Is it possible to sync these two? after I delete a photo from My Cloud app, I dont want to see it again after nexy sync.
3-How can I make daily backup of my iPhone instead of iCloud? If I enable iCloud backup, it backs up everyday but my cloud, I can not do it. I created local iTunes backup and I moved it to My Cloud manually. I want to make this process automtically and I want it run everyday. (I want to use my cloud backup instead of iCloud backup).
4-Sometimes, when I open My cloud app, it shows empty. I do refresh or I close the aplication and re-open it, it is fine. Can you solve this bug? It is a bit annoying.

1- Unfortunately you can not filter out the other content from the images secretion. Every image file will show in the ‘gallery’ section of the app and there is no way to limit it. I use Plex for example so every video I uploaded to Plex shows mixed in with my camera uploads.
2- because MyCloud is running as an auxiliary program to your phone’s camera roll it does not remember what you deleted. Every time you open it it’ll check every image in your phone’s camera roll. If an image is there but not on the MyCloud device it’s just going to back it up again. The only way to stop this is to delete the primary image in your camera roll on iOS. Android give you some more choices as to which folder to select but the primary camera location will always work this way.
3- if I’m under correctly, you could use a computer to copy the files off of your MyCloud to another location such as other cloud service or hard drive. Using different programs on your computer you may even be able to automate this.
4- this happens from time to time and I just learnt to live with it on my iPad. Android seems to be fine though so it might mean WD has some work to bring the iOS version up to parity.

1-Yes, I know. it is not possible but I wrote this as wishlist. Please bring this feature. I have too many ebooks, html files, e learning web sites as backup stored in WD home cloud. Also I copied n iPhone back file to WD my cloud.
But when I click on photos tab in the app, I can even see some images when soemone sent me in whatsapp or somemones profile pic in whatsapp. If I took 100 photos with my phone cam, I want to see 100 photo in photos tab of software. byut I see thounds of image file. Please bring this feaature. I want to edit photos library path. Even I was able to point a path to scan for photos in Windows XP.
2-you explain what is happening when I delete. I also know that. I need solution. When a picture is backedup to WD, a flag can be inserted to file attributes that show its backed up. After that, you can ignore that file. Even If I delete it from WD and if it still stays in iPhone Photo library, it can be ignored. Please bring this feature. I was using Google Photos before My cloud. In Google Photos appliaction, I dont have this issue. If I delete a photo from google drive app while photo is still in phone, it is not synced again.
3-Yes, you understand correctly. My phone backsup itself everyday to iCloud automatically. I want it to be backed up to My Cloud instead of iCloud wirelessly
4-. Yes, this happens. Wwe can find a wrokaround but it is not a solution. This should be fixed.
