My Cloud EX2 Ultra will not upgrade from OS5 v5.05.111

I’m unable to upgrade from this awful version of OS5. I’ve tried the following, before and after soft and hard rebooting the drive multiple times. Got the same result each times for each attempt:

  1. Attempted to Upgrade Now to 5.06.115. Download successful but install would fail at 27%
  2. Downloaded 5.06.115 and attempted to install from file. Download successful but got error message after download but before upgrade began “Incomplete firmware download. Check your internet connection…”
  3. Attempted to Upgrade Now to 5.08.115. Download successful but install again failed at 27%.
  4. Downloaded 5.08.115 and attempted to install from file. Download successful but got error message after downloaded but upgrade began “Incomplete firmware download. Check your internet connection…”

Immensely frustrated. Any insight would be appreciated.

CORRECTION for 1 and 3 above, the download failed at 27% and not the install…

WD Support has been dark for over 10 days. Has anyone had a good experience with support? Ticket number 210107-001915.
